Four workers tragically lost their lives after inhaling toxic gas at a chemical plant in Dahej, located in Bharuch district, Gujaratnextbet, on Saturday night, according to local police.

The fatal incident occurred around 10:00 pm at the Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL) facility. The workers were exposed to hazardous fumes that leaked from a pipe in the production unit of the company’s CMS plant, causing them to lose consciousness. Dahej police station inspector, BM Patidar, confirmed that the workers were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Bharuch for treatment.

Three of the workers succumbed to the effects of the gas at approximately 3:00 AM on Sunday, while the fourth worker passed away at around 6:00 AM, an official told PTI. The victims, whose identities have not yet been disclosed, were reportedly exposed to the poisonous gas after it leaked from a pipe located on the ground floor of the production unit.
