nextbet 22 States Sue Trump After Order To End Birthright Citizenship For Immigrants
A day after President Trump signed an executive order to end birthright citizenship for immigrants, 22 states have decided to sue the new administration.
As per reports, Attorney-Generals from 22 states have sued Donald Trump in two federal courts. A total of 18 states and two cities - San Francisco and Washington DC have filed a case against Trump in the Federal Districts Court in Massachusetts.
Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey expressed his enthusiasm and stated: "This bilateral series against Germany will be a remarkable showcase of world-class hockey. Both India and Germany have a rich history in the sport, and this series will give fans an opportunity to witness an intense competition between two of the most formidable teams in the world.
"It is a great honour to be nominated for the FIH Player of the Year Award again," the Indian defender stated in a Hockey India release.
Four more states have filed a case against Trump in the Western District of Washington. Both cases argue that birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment is "automatic" and the president or Congress do not have the authority to revise it.
Apart from states, the American Civil Liberties Union sued the Trump administration hours after this executive order was signed on Monday.
